Amy Larsen Seidelman
Inaugural Class of 2009
Amy Larsen Seidelman grew up in Ankeny and attended the University of Northern Iowa where she focused on political science, professional writing, and competitive speech. Following her graduation from UNI in 2003, Amy went south for a graduate degree in Public Affairs. After two years at the University of Texas, Amy fell in love with the city of Austin but was lured back to Iowa with a city management internship at the City of West Des Moines. Amy spent five great years in the WDM City Manager’s Office. In July 2010, she took advantage of a new opportunity to join Iowa Health Home Care, based in Urbandale, as an Organizational Excellence Consultant.
Amy lives in West Des Moines with her husband, Ray, and spends most of her free time playing on the Vance Refrigeration Kickball team, reading, writing, and cheering on the Longhorns, Panthers, Hawkeyes, and a 4th team-by-marriage, the Missouri Tigers.
