Class of 2010

Maria Davis is Director of Admissions at AIB College of Business and a successful Real Estate Agent with Iowa Realty, in West Des Moines. Since 2005 she has been a member of the Iowa Association of Realtors and the Des Moines Area Association of Realtors and recognized in 2006 as Rookie of the Year and Circle of Excellence, along with Business Record’s Forty Under 40. She is always looking for the next challenge or opportunity to grow, and is honored to add the West Des Moines Leadership Academy to that list. Prior to joining Iowa Realty, Maria was successful in the media world, selling television advertising for KDSM FOX 17 and WOI TV 5.

Maria was born and raised in Des Moines, graduating from Dowling High School and Upper Iowa University, double majoring with a Bachelor of Science degree in both Marketing and Management. Giving to the community is dear to Maria’s heart and includes, but not limited to the Des Moines Marathon since 2003, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society since 2000, and as an Executive Board Member since 2008, and the West Des Moines Chamber of Commerce since 2004, serving as an Ambassador for four years.

As a member of Capital Striders Running Club and USA Triathlon, Maria has been active her entire life, completing the run of all runs...the Chicago Marathon in 2000, with her husband, Jeff. Triathlons are an additional part of their summer schedule, as well as a RAGBRAI participant for over 25 years with her extended family.

Maria and her husband, Jeff, live in West Des Moines and have 2 children, Sela and Drake, who attend St. Francis of Assisi School.
