Class of 2011

I have worked in various aspects of Medical Imaging at Mercy Medical Center - Des Moines for 15 years. Since 2006, I have served as the Medical Imaging Operations Director and PACS Administrator. In this role I have oversight of non-clinical operations and information systems. This capacity allows me to do what I love; utilize information systems (both locally and regionally) to provide care givers with the information they require to meet the needs of patients, and to give leadership the tools needed to support real time business decision making. I have greatly enjoyed recent work supporting and consulting with rural, critical access hospitals and helping them utilize tele-radiology to help them treat patients in their respective facilities. Also at Mercy, I have served as a IS Systems Analyst, General Imaging Manager, and CT / X-Ray technologist.

I have lived in the Des Moines area since childhood, and graduated from Dallas Center-Grimes High School. I am a graduate of Drake University with a Master's Degree in Public Administration. I have also obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Health Care Administration and a certificate in Radiologic Technology from Mercy College in Des Moines.

In my spare time, I enjoy volunteering in my church, coaching YMCA youth sports, playing golf, fishing, and cooking.

I live in Waukee with my wife Shannah, daughter Megan, and son Jack.
