Class of 2011

I have spent most all of my life in the Des Moines area, except for my college years. I attended Dowling Catholic High School and the University of Kansas after which I returned to Des Moines and worked for Principal Financial Group in the residential mortgage area. At the same time, I became a Reserve Police Officer with the West Des Moines Police Department. In 1995, I decided to pursue law enforcement as a full time career and joined the Windsor Heights Police Department. In 1998, I returned to the West Des Moines Police Department and have been here ever since.

On a personal note, I enjoy all kinds of sports and have recently started competing in duathlons and triathlons. I have a school age son and we reside in West Des Moines. I am on the law enforcement executive board for Special Olympics Iowa and I coordinate various fund raising events for our department to include the polar plunge, cops and lobsters and the law enforcement torch run.
