Class of 2011

Joel M. North, CFP® is a Vice President and Relationship Manager with the Private Client Group of US Bank. Joel has worked in the financial services industry for over 20 years, including several years with the Principal Financial Group. In his role as a Relationship Manager in the Wealth Management and Personal Trust area, he helps people reach their most important financial goals via financial planning, investment management and wealth transition. He works closely with his clients and their existing tax and legal advisors to identify his clients’ unique financial priorities and to provide them with ideas, resources, and solutions to help them achieve their goals. In addition, he also serves as Trust Officer for a variety of personal trust clients, administering the accounts, servicing the clients on an on-going basis, and implementing the terms and conditions of the trust documents.

Joel attended the University of Northern Iowa, receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing and German in 1987. He has been very active with Optimist International, a youth service organization, serving in a variety of capacities on a local, regional, and state-wide basis. In addition, he is an active member of his church, serving in a wide variety of roles, including co-founding and playing keyboards for a contemporary Christian music band. Joel and his wife Greti reside in Urbandale, and they have three daughters.
