Class of 2011
I am a senior shareholder with the Davis Brown Law Firm where I practice exclusively in the areas of health care and employee benefits. I joined the Firm in 1999 after graduating from DePaul University College of Law. I am currently the Chair of the Firm's Health Law Department and am a frequent presenter on health care and employee benefits issues, including the new health care reform Legislation.
In addition to practicing law, I was an adjunct professor at the Drake University Law School where I taught an introductory health law course for three years.
I am particularly interested in health care and wellness issues and currently serve on the Board of Directors of the Broadlawns Medical Center Foundation and the Wellness Council of Iowa. I'm also passionate about the importance of public libraries and have the privilege of serving on the Board of the West Des Moines Library Friends foundation which assists in raising money and awareness for the West Des Moines Library.
I'm an avid fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes and Chicago Cubs and when I'm not working I enjoy cooking, biking and spending time with my 4-year-old goldendoodle, Lola.
