Bio: After graduation from Iowa State, Tim Garton’s original plan was to continue on to graduate school. Instead he chose to pursue his passion and began attending the Cooking and Hospitality Institute of Chicago. While in Chicago he lived the culinary lifestyle, working under some of the best chefs in the city, gaining any and all knowledge he could. Eventually he moved to Michigan and opened up an LEED certified boutique hotel on the shore of Lake Michigan. While there he developed a passion for local seasonal cooking and came to understand that simplicity and quality ingredients are the key to fantastic food. Tim currently lives in Des Moines and until recently was a food representative for Sysco. He is now a member of the Exile team and excited to return to his passion for cooking.
