Banking Center Manager
Great Southern Bank

I am a Banking Center Manager for Great Southern Bank. I started working at Great Southern Bank in June of 2011, but I’ve worked in banking for the past 8 years. Besides your normal banking products, I am also licensed to sell annuities and specialize in small business banking. I enjoy being employed at Great Southern because they really do believe in their mission statement which is to build winning relationships with our customers, associates, shareholders and communities. Their core values align with mine as well. They are to do what’s right, promote teamwork, mutual respect and uncompromising ethical standards. A lot of banks talk the talk, but we actually walk the walk.

I am originally from Marshalltown, but I moved to Seattle, WA in 2001 and lived there until December of 2006. I graduated from Kamiak High School in Mukilteo, WA. In high school, I was a cheerleader and participated on the varsity rowing team. I went to college in Seattle as well. After I moved back to Iowa, I enrolled at Des Moines Area Community College. I am on the Honor Society, Student Council and have made Dean’s List and President’s List numerous times. I am now anxiously awaiting my transfer to the University of Iowa this summer where I will continue to study Business and Human Resource Management. Besides work and school, I also volunteer a lot. I am the Chair of the Auction Committee for the American Heart Association Heart Ball this year. I also volunteer with Wildwood Hills Ranch, Youth Emergency Services and Shelter, the Frank Ross Play Fore Kids Memorial Golf Classic and this year I started Maddie’s Christmas for Kids.

After I moved to West Des Moines, I met my husband. His name is Justin (yes, seriously!) and we got married in May of 2009. We have a daughter, Madison, who was born in July of 2010 and a dog, Lyric, who is 5. I enjoy spending my (very little) free time with our families, reading, going out to dinner, scrapbooking, shopping, following Hawkeye football and rowing and adding pins to my Pinterest. I am an avid thank you note writer and believe in always lending a helping hand when I can.
