Kyle Frizzell is the Director, IT Security at Hy-Vee, Inc. Hy-Vee, Inc. is an employee owned corporation operating 235 retail stores in eight Midwestern states. For 2011 the company recorded total sales of $7.3 billion, ranking it among the top 25 supermarket chains and the top 50 private companies in the United States.
Kyle started his Hy-Vee career the same way most employees do, bagging groceries and taking care of customers. That experience, coupled with growing up in a grocery family helps shape the decisions he makes every day.
Kyle is currently responsible for the protection of sensitive data and systems in Hy-Vee's eight state operating area. Systems and processes are tested regularly to ensure proper security exists where it needs to while still providing access for those who need it. Kyle also has responsibility for planning and coordinating any IT security response within Hy-Vee.
Kyle resides in West Des Moines with his wife Tiki, a fellow Hy-Vee employee, and their two children. When Kyle has time, he enjoys camping and flying radio control airplanes.
