Levi Franzen is First Vice President at American Trust & Savings Bank. My job responsibility is to develop, foster, and maintain commercial banking relationships with new and existing customers. Prior to joining First Federal Iowa, I was employed by Principal Real Estate Investors for over four years. While at Principal, I underwrote and originated commercial real estate loans in Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, and Utah.
When I am not at work I enjoy traveling, University of Iowa sporting events, participating in many of the sport leagues (sand volleyball, golf, baseball, and flag football) provided in the Des Moines Metro, and an occasional bike ride or jog on the extensive trail system that the Des Moines Metro has to offer.
In recent years I have realized it is important to give back to the community in which I live. As a result, I have become involved with the Waukee YMCA Board of Managers, the Iowa Bankers Association Commercial Lending School Advisory Board, Meals from the Market, and volunteering for Habitat for Humanity.
