Tom joined NCMIC Group as a portfolio manager in 2008. He is part of the team that analyzes, trades and manages NCMIC’s investment portfolio. Prior to joining NCMIC, he spent more than seven years managing fixed income assets at Principal Global Investors. Tom is a graduate of Iowa State University where hereceived his BBA with an emphasis in Transportation and Logistics. After a few years of experience he went back to school to get his MBA from the Henry B. Tippee School of Business at the University of Iowa. For nine years, Tom served as an officer in the U.S. Army Reserves. Subsequently, he earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (“CFA”) designation and is a member of the CFA Society of Iowa.
Tom has been married to his wife Jill for over 17 years and has three children. He enjoys coaching and spectating his kids sporting events. He also enjoys traveling, reading, running, and sports in general. Tom is an active member at Lutheran Church of Hope, volunteering the last two years in the junior high confirmation program and has served on a couple of international mission trips. He is currently involved as board member of a local non-profit, Prevent Blindness Iowa.
