Tori Glade is an Iowa Native and proud alum of the University of Northern Iowa. After graduating in 1996 with her BA in communications, Tori and her husband moved to Kansas City where she began her career in the recruiting world with a large National staffing firm. From 2001-2003 Tori took a brief hiatus and followed her husband as he fulfilled his dream to become an F-16 pilot for the Iowa Air National Guard, where he is currently employed full time. Pilot training took their family all over the country, but in 2003 Tori returned to Iowa and made West Des Moines home! Tori began working for Palmer Group in 2003 and works as a Sr. Account Executive focusing on temporary and temp-hire placement on Office Administrative positions with top companies throughout the Des Moines Metro. She’s involved with the West Des Moines and Urbandale Chambers of Commerce. She volunteers through Excel breakfast club with organizations such as Freedom for Youth, Hats and Mittens, Homeless Shelter of DM, Bidwell Riverside Center and she also rose over $4,900 running her first marathon to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Iowa.
In her free time, she runs kidos’ around to their various activities! Taylor, Tori’s daughter, is a 7th grader at Stillwell Jr. High and her son Trevor, is in 4th grade at Jordan Creek Elementary. When she’s not playing Taxi, you might find her at one of her other part-time jobs, teaching 7-10 Group Fitness Classes per week! Tori currently teaches Spinning, Body Pump and Kickboxing at Aspen Athletic Club, Gold’s Gym and the YMCA. She also enjoys running and has completed 3 full marathons, several half marathons and is looking at races to take on in 2012! She’s excited to have the opportunity to be part of the WDMLA and give back to the community that has given her so many great opportunities the past 9 years!
